Judge Turelli was admitted to practice law in 1963. He served as a clerk to the Colorado Supreme Court on several different occasions and as chief clerk for 12 years. He was deputy district attorney for one year and in private practice for two years. He was appointed county judge in 1977 and became a District Court judge in 1981. He handles a general docket of approximately 1,500 cases in Douglas, Elbert and Arapahoe counties.
Most responses commented he was very compassionate, competent and hard-working; several responses noted he was not punctual, tended to let the litigants argue too long and was overly nice.
