The Second Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance recommends that Judge Raymond N. Satter BE RETAINED.
Judge Satter was admitted to the practice of law in Colorado in 1973. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Denver with majors in English and History, graduating in 1970. He received his law degree from Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America in 1973.
Judge Satter was appointed to the bench on October 30, 1987. Prior to his appointment to the bench he worked as an associate and later a partner in private practice. He was then in sole practice for ten years. He has served in all divisions of the county court, including traffic, state criminal, general sessions and civil. He currently hears criminal cases.
Courtroom observation of Judge Satter confirmed that he is well-prepared, courteous, fair and diligent in performing his duties.
In a Commission survey, attorneys voted 92.5% to retain and 7.5% to not retain.
