Honorable Ruthanne N. Polidori

The First Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance recommends that District Judge Ruthanne N. Polidori BE RETAINED.
Judge Polidori was appointed to the District Court Bench in 1983. Prior to that she was in private practice. She hears cases involving civil, domestic relations, criminal and juvenile matters. She is Past President of the Colorado District Judges Association and is active in her church.
A majority of responses to surveys distributed to attorneys, jurors, law enforcement personnel, litigants, and court and probation employees, who have been involved in proceedings before Judge Polidori, recommended that she be retained. Judge Polidori received praise in areas covered by the survey including her judicial skills on legal matters. However, the surveys also revealed areas of concern pertaining to the Judge's demeanor and temperament. Judge Polidori was made aware of the necessity to improve her patience and the manner in which she communicates in the courtroom.
