Judge Perricone has been a District Court Judge for the past fifteen years. Prior to his judicial appointment, he mainly practiced civil law for approximately twenty-three years. He served as Chief Judge of the First Judicial District from 1986 until 1993, coordinating the work of fifteen county and district court judges. As Chief Judge, he was instrumental n the planning of the state of the art Jefferson County Courthouse. He has served as the Chairman of the Colorado Judicial Training Council and President of the Colorado District Judges Association. He works closely with teachers and student groups promoting judicial education.
Judge Perricone presides over criminal, domestic relations, civil cases and some juvenile cases.
Responses from all groups surveyed overwhelming support Judge Perricone’s retention. A majority of the groups praised him for his promptness and control over courtroom procedures. He is highly rated by attorneys and litigants for his knowledge and application of the law.
Based on this information the Commission on Judicial Performance recommends Judge Perricone SHOULD BE RETAINED.
