The Eighteenth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance unanimously recommends that Judge Dana Elizabeth Murray BE RETAINED.
Judge Murray served as a County Court Magistrate from July 1989 to October 1992. She has served as a County Court Judge since October 1992 in Arapahoe County. Her court handles felony, traffic, misdemeanor and civil cases. Before being appointed as a County Court Magistrate in July 1989, Judge Murray served as a Deputy District Attorney for the Eighteenth Judicial District.
Of attorneys surveyed, 93.1% recommended retaining Judge Murray while only 6.9% recommended that she not be retained.
Of law enforcement personnel and litigants, 100% of those surveyed recommended she be retained. Of court and probation employees, 78.6% recommended retaining Judge Murray and 21.4 % recommended that she not be retained.
