Judge Macrum was admitted to the practice of law in Colorado in 1967. He received his undergraduate degree from George Washington University and his law degree from the University of Denver.
Judge Macrum is presently serving as District Judge for the 18th Judicial District. Before his appointment to the district bench, Judge Macrum served as county judge, municipal judge, assistant county attorney, deputy district attorney, attorney for the Federal Trade Commission and as a private practitioner. Judge Macrum was assigned to the criminal docket in January, 1992. Before that time, he handled the civil docket.
The overall response from attorneys, jurors and law enforcement persons was 85% in favor of retention. These responses generally characterized Judge Macrum as courteous, hard-working, competent and respected.
