Judge Lass, age 49, was appointed to the County Court bench of Summit County in January 1986. Cases before him are 80% criminal, the bulk being traffic offenses and misdemeanor crimes. Judge Lass also presides over preliminary hearings, some civil cases and small claims.
Based on review of surveys, interviews and subsequent evaluation, the Fifth Judicial District Performance Commission recommends retention of Judge David Lass.
The 5th Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance recommends that Judge David R. Lass be retained.
