Judge Langstaff was admitted to practice law in 1977. She was in private practice for three years, then served as an Arapahoe County District Court referee commissioner from 1980-86, hearing juvenile and domestic relations matters. Langstaff currently serves as an Arapahoe County Court judge, a position to which she was appointed on Sept. 1, 1984. Her docket is diversified, consisting of 95% traffic and misdemeanor cases, some civil cases and occasionally juvenile and domestic relations matters.

Responses characterized Judge Langstaff as a pleasant, efficient, fair, patient and respectful judge who has the ability to approach her work in a serious manner, yet retain her humor and compassion. Jurors polled indicated they were made to feel comfortable and at ease and they were glad to serve in her courtroom. The commission found her to be caring, people oriented, competent and very committed to her work.
