Judicial Performance Commission’s recommendation: Should Be Retained.

Judge Kulp was admitted to the bar in 1966 after graduation from the University of Denver law school. Prior to law school, Kulp was a geological engineer from 1955 to 1965. After law school, he was in private practice from 1966 to 1974, until his appointment in November 1974 to the Weld County Court. He has retained that position since.

Kulp is a former chairman of the Christian Businessmen’s Committee and has served on numerous civic organization boards

Kulp currently presides over traffic matters and misdemeanor and civil matters involving less than $5,000.

The majority of all the surveyed groups recommended retention for Kulp. The survey showed Kulp to be fair and knowledgeable with his greatest asset being his temperament and patience.
