Judge Kourlis was appointed to the district court bench in 1987. Prior to that she was in private practice for 11 years after receiving her law degree in 1976.
Kourlis handles felony and some misdemeanor criminal cases, juvenile proceedings, larger civil disputes, divorces, probate matters, mental health cases and appeals from county court cases. Additionally, she serves as the Water Judge for Water Division No. 6.
The responses received by this Commission were overwhelmingly favorable in all areas of Kourlis’ performance.
