It is the opinion of the Fourth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance that Judge Thomas Kelly Kane should BE RETAINED.

In a poll conducted of attorneys, jurors, and law enforcement, Judge Kane received consistently outstanding marks in all categories to include knowledge of the law, fairness to the litigants, his control over the courtroom, his promptness, and fairness. Indeed, hos overall rating to retain was 94% of those polled. This was the highest of all local judges up for retention this election cycle.

Judge Kane grew up in Colorado Springs, graduating from St. Mary’s High School, the University of Colorado as an undergraduate (1974) and the University of Colorado School of Law (1977). Judge Kane is married and has five children.
