Judge Jauch was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1976. He was a teacher at Englewood High School from 1969 to 1979 and was in private practice from 1979 to 1981. He served as Arapahoe County Deputy Attorney and County Court Referee from 1981 to 1985 when he was appointed county court judge.
The survey groups were very favorable to Judge Jauch. Of the total, 96% of the attorneys and 100% of law enforcement personnel were in favor of retention. There were no negative comments from the survey groups. He was characterized as an outstanding judge with a high sense of justice with excellent knowledge of the law.
The 18th Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance recommends that Judge Richard M. Jauch be Retained.
