Judge Morris B. Hoffman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in 1974. He received his law degree from the University of Colorado in 1977. Judge Hoffman served as a law clerk to Judge Charles D. Pierce at the Colorado Court of Appeals from 1977 through 1979. He was in private law practice before becoming a district court judge.
Judge Hoffman was appointed to the Denver District Court in 1990. From 1991 through 1993, he presided over the civil division. He presently presides in the domestic relations division concerning divorce.
The courthouse personnel and juror evaluations highly rate Judge Hoffman. The litigant evaluation ratings were also high.
Observation of Judge Hoffman’s courtroom shows that he is a competent and conscientious judge. He runs his courtroom efficiently and is courteous to all persons in the courtroom.
