Judge Goldberger was appointed to the County Court in 1975. He is currently presiding judge of the Jefferson County Court.

Prior to his judicial appointment he was in the private practice of law. Judge Goldberger participates in community activities including the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and speaking to school groups.

He presides over civil, traffic, misdemeanor criminal cases, temporary restraining orders and felony preliminary hearings.

A significant majority of the responses from groups surveyed recommended that Judge Goldberger be retained. Some respondents indicated a concern about this lack of punctuality. Judge Goldberger is aware of these concerns and is improving his performance in these areas. Responses indicate that he displays a sense of justice, knowledge of the law, and compassion.

Based upon this information, the Commission on Judicial Performance recommends Judge Goldberger SHOULD BE RETAINED
