Judge Fasing received a law degree from the University of Colorado in 1975 and was admitted to the bar that year. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from the University of Minnesota in 1970. From 1975 to 1979, he served as assistant city attorney and chief prosecutor in Arvada. He wa in private practice from 1979 through 1990. In 1990, he functioned as a part-time municipal judge for the city of Lakewood. He was appointed to his current judgeship in May 1990.
As county judge, he handles civil and misdemeanor criminal cases. The survey was generally favorable towards Judge Fasing with 82.5% recommending retention. In the areas concerning sense of justice, freedom from public influence and clarity of oral and written decisions, Judge Fasing’s ratings were satisfactory. He was rated highly for his diligence, demeanor, sensitivity and courtroom control.
The 18th Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance recommends that Judge Timothy L. Fasing be Retained.
