The Seventeenth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance recommends that Judge Katherine Rose Delgado BE RETAINED.
Judge Delgado was appointed to the Adams County District Court in July of 2002. Prior to her elevation to the judiciary, she was the Chief Deputy District Attorney in Boulder County. Judge Delgado is currently assigned to the domestic relations division.
Judge Delgado received exceptionally high survey responses from attorneys, 92% of whom strongly recommended her retention. Also, Judge Delgado ranked higher than average in the five different sections about which attorneys were questioned. Of non-attorneys, 89% either strongly or somewhat recommend that Judge Delgado be retained.
Judge Delgado gives back to the community in a variety of ways. She has participated in the Mock Trial High School competition, as well as various continuing legal education panels, and domestic violence education seminars. Judge Delgado's competence and enthusiasm was apparent to the commission in her interview and the Commission has no hesitation in recommending her retention.
