Judge Callahan was appointed to the bench in the Yuma County Court in January 1992. He maintains a general practice of law in Wray in addition to his part-time duties as county judge. Judge Callahan hears criminal misdemeanor, traffic, traffic infraction and civil cases in his court.
Evaluations received from attorneys, law enforcement personnel, courthouse personnel, and jurors consistently rated Judge Callahan’s performance very highly. The Commission’s impressions of Judge Callahan from an in-person interview is that he is very capably fulfilling his office and has a temperament very well suited to a rural county court judge.
The Thirteenth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance recommends that Judge Callahan BE RETAINED.
