County Judge Larry Bohning graduated for Dakota Wesleyan University and obtained his law degree from the University of South Dakota. Judge Bohning was a staff attorney for the South Dakota State Legislature and the Colorado State Legislature, then served as an Assistant City Attorney in Denver for seven years. Judge Bohning was appointed to the Denver County Court in 1980 and on January 1, 1993, he became the Presiding Judge.
Based on information supplied to the Commission and on personal interviews, Judge Bohning is rated highly in the areas of even-handed consideration of all parties, and clear written decisions. Attorney survey responses reflected a strong consensus to retain Judge Bohning.
