Judge Cheryl L. Post has a B.A. in History and Secondary Education from Colorado State University, a M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of Colorado in Denver, and a law degree from the University of Denver. Prior to attending law school, she was an educator.
Judge Post practiced law as a civil litigator with the law firm of Holme, Roberts & Owen and Kobayashi & Associates in Denver prior to being appointed to the district court in October, 1993.
Judge Post currently presides over domestic cases, previously presided over civil cases, and handles some criminal matters.
The Attorney evaluations were generally favorable, with 80.8% of the attorney respondents and 90.9% of the juror respondents recommending that Judge Post be retained. She received high scores for appropriate courtroom demeanor, for maintaining courtroom control, and for working diligently and compassionately.
