Judge Munch was appointed to the District Court in 1986. Prior to his appointment, he served in the Denver District Attorney’s Office. In addition, he was in the private practice of law. Judge Munch participates in activities, including mock trials, and teaching and lecturing. In addition, Judge Munch has served on the Board of Directors of Family Tree.

Judge Munch currently hears civil, domestic relations, criminal and some juvenile cases.

As overwhelming majority of those surveyed recommended that Judge Munch should be retained. His knowledge of law and evidence were praised. Judge Munch is very diligent in controlling his docket. In addition, the responses reported that he is prompt and punctual, and that he maintains control in the courtroom.

Based on this information the Commission on Judicial Performance recommends Judge Munch SHOULD BE RETAINED.
