The First Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance recommends that Judge Kim H. Goldberger BE RETAINED.


Judge Goldberger has served for over 26 years as a County Court Judge. He continues to be enthusiastic in his judicial duties. Over the years Judge Goldberger has developed an effective judicial temperament, which has made him an asset to the Jefferson County bench. His work with the state legislature has been instrumental in improving the laws regarding alcohol related offenses (DUI’s).


He participates in numerous community organizations, has engaged in many state judicial department activities and has been a panelist or speaker at numerous judicial conferences at the national, state and local levels.


Of the attorneys polled, 82% recommend retention, 9% recommend not to retain and 9% had no opinion. Of the non-attorneys polled, 79% recommended retention, 12% recommended not to retain and 9% had no opinion.
