Judge Carlson is a 1971 graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and a 1976 graduate of the University of Nebraska School of Law. He was appointed Sedgwick County Judge in 1978. As a part-time judge, Judge Carlson maintains a private practice of law in Julesburg.
Attorneys, court personnel, jurors and law enforcement officers all gave Judge Carlson universally high marks for his performance.
